What a sweet adoption post, Shannon! Thank you so much! Believe it or not, I actually named these brownies Big and Rich because of John Rich and Big Kenny. I like the sound of that name and they looked big and rich in the photo, plus Kenny Alphin is from the town of Culpeper, which is about an hour away from our home. We pass through it on the way to our mountain property. Some of their songs are fun and entertain me greatly. How cool that you had an experience with them. Maybe the one and only experience, but something to remember just the same. I so appreciate you adopting me and am so glad you all enjoyed the brownies!
Thank you for visiting. I've spent many, many hours reading blogs and books about the gluten-free life. I love research. Really love it. I'm a writer so this is part of what makes me tick. But I know not everyone likes it. My goal is to bring this wealth of useful information to you here through interviews with prominent people from the gluten-free community. I hope that each time you visit, you’ll walk away with a little something new, something that helps you enjoy your gluten-free life even more.

The reason for the name is too funny, Shirley. Yep, hubby was happy.
